Came here 4 years ago and knew I had to come again. Menu has changed but the food was just as good. Ordered: Veggie Burrito Veggie sausage and mash Veggie bolognese Creamy Mushroom Banana Colada

Popped in for a bite to eat and a pint. Had the chicken and bacon salad which was superb. The Islander real ale was excellent. Service was spot on and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming.

Wanted dinner on Sunday, but a lot of places close early in Sandown. Found Caulkheads on Google as reviews were good & gave them a call to ask if there was availability & there was, so table booked for 6pm, but carvery finishes at 6pm we were advised. No problem, we were on holiday & it didn't matter to us. Lovely staff for finding us availability at short notice. Food is really nice & there is a varied choice on the menu as well as the option of a smaller portion or a normal portion on most things you order. Order is taken at the bar along with your drinks order. Plenty of things to entertain the kids & there is a ball play area as well as an outside seating area. In all we came here three times during our stay & never disappointed with anything at all. Lively place & popular with locals as well as tourists, can highly recommend.

Absolutely fantastic food. Best food we found during our trip on the island. Great selection of food. Honestly, I can't stress how good the food turned out, with great flavours, well cooked and an array of vegetables. Great facilities for kids. Warm and welcoming staff. Would definitely visit again.

Staff were friendly and helpful. They were happy to seat us away from all the loud children. ( Have nothing against wee ones having fun, but it's nice to eat and chat without having to shout to be heard) Food was good, variety of options, vegan sausage and mash was great. The pub was clean and tables were nicely spaced out.

Excellent service and the food was just as good. We had the Sunday roast and all 3, turkey, lamb and beef, were cooked perfectly. Sticky toffee pudding was exceptional too. Very friendly servers, quick service and great atmosphere!
